TIME IS RUNNING OUT
An unimaginable tragedy of killing and suffering is unfolding in Africa every day, as elephants are being killed and maimed on an industrial scale never seen before. 35,000 elephants are killed each year for their tusks.
At this rate, many localized populations could disappear within 10 years. Just 35 years ago there were 1.3 million elephants in Africa, and today that number is only 200,000. We must join together NOW to stop the killing.

JOIN US TO PROTEST JAPAN’S IVORY TRADE!
Tuesday, December 12, 11:30 AM – 1:15 PM
Consulate General of Japan, 275 Battery Street, San Francisco
Thanks to a significant outcry from the global community, China and others have taken steps to stop their domestic ivory trade… Japan needs to do the right thing and ban its trade immediately!
Please join March for Elephants to tell Japan that we will not tolerate the needless slaughter of our beloved elephants for mere trinkets. While other countries around the world have moved to end the ivory trade, Japan remains determined to stand behind theirs. Help us protest and bring a friend, two or more. Signs will be available, however we welcome your contributions!
